Back to Active. Back to Health. Back to Life.

Dr. Elli Morton, DC BSc, Chiropractor

Patient-Centred Care Advocate | I believe that patient-centered communication, education, and empowerment are at the core of modern healthcare. As a chiropractor, I am one part of your healthcare team—listening to your goals and preferences, and striving for clear, honest, and transparent communication to support your optimal health and wellness.

Chiropractic care is a collaborative journey. It involves teamwork and exploring treatment options to find a plan that works best for you—one that also promotes self-management. I am committed to supporting a wide range of individuals, including athletes, expectant mothers, seniors, and anyone seeking spinal wellness and overall health improvement.

In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in the chiropractic community. I currently serve as board chair at the University of Western States, a healthcare-focused university in Portland, Oregon. Over the past few decades, I have also held roles on various regulatory and association committees, including the Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative, which supports evidence-informed care for both practitioners and patients. I have also served in several capacities with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board, ultimately concluding my service as chair.

On weekends, I enjoy spending time in the mountains with my husband, our dog, and sometimes our adult children.

Clinical Approach

I use an evidence-informed, integrative approach to healthcare, drawing from a diversified range of techniques tailored to your individual needs. These may include manual adjustments and mobilizations to improve joint mobility, instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques (Graston certified), exercise modifications, rehabilitation or exercise prescriptions, postural and ergonomic education, percussion therapy, and nutritional advice.

Depending on your condition and goals, I also offer cupping, therapeutic taping, Shockwave therapy, or orthotics when appropriate. Each treatment plan is personalized—we’ll work together to determine what’s right for your body and goals, with the aim of reducing pain and improving movement.

All treatment approaches and techniques will be discussed with you beforehand to ensure you feel informed and involved in your care.
